Just subscribed to your channel, so well put together. I plan to have my solar battery hooked up to a 1000w inverter, an IT unit, that has an earth to the vans chassis, but not linked to N. This will then go to a 2-pole automatic transfer switch (ATS) to a single gang plug. Power will come into the other input of the ATS from a campsite hook-up. Not trusting these campsites I was going to have an RCBO before the ATS then a consumer box after. Will I need a 2-way RCBO? Kind regards

move photo cell lower,i always turn on off breakers in fault finding,so you can see it trip,then look up at all lights to look for water or rust , i did 2 years of fault finding on outside lights, then you could test contactors sometimes they burn out,if you have a contactor its rare for photocell to burn out i would use small fluke and see if wires are touching we dont use megga, here , i can find fault in about 5 minutes,water causes most problems,so it only happens with rain

It’s weird how we think of these panels as being more dangerous than say a small 16 amp 3 phase circuit - even though both can easily instantly kill you. It’s just the level of “cooked” that changes.

I found that the dividers in the Milwaukee drawers were an absolute nightmare at keeping stuff in their compartments. Like you I often forget to close the bar on the drawers and after a 2 hour drive you end up spending half hour putting everything back in their own compartments 😂. Ended up mitre mating them all down but that obviously means it can’t be reconfigured!

I went with a cheaper tester as testing can be done with as you say by 3 methods, my luck get called to a TT install with a fault no power (Fuse pulled) and what looks like a disconnected Earth Rod! Didn't do the job in the end because no one knew who pulled the fuse or why and other issues! But I would have been in a pickle not being able to prove the TT earth was sound prior to the Supplier (DNO had no contact and stated that without knowing why the fuse was pulled they would not reinstate) coming out and who knows when they would turn up! Would probably need to be there when they came.

I’ve got the same system in the L2 custom but I run the full systainer boxes and rails as I’ve always used festool boxes. I think you can get a little more in with their boxes but once you’ve committed to a loadout box your tied in so Packout it is for you 🤟 Tip with the perfo panels in the doors you’ll want to change the self tappers as over time they rip out of the door I always Rivnut them and it’s a lot more secure 👌

lovely set up lad, love the idea of the Armor Gard drawers and parking close to a wall to prevent power tools being robbed definitely something I'm gonna look at for my own van. Love all the Packout gear aswell very aesthetically pleasing looking into the van. Keep up the hard work!
